The first Street Fighter 6 Manon cosplay we’ve ever seen is absolutely beautiful, receives attention from the game’s director

KittyKaboom put together a quick costume for the new super model fighter

Street Fighter fans are eating well this month as Capcom is running the second closed beta test right now for Street Fighter 6 following last week’s unveiling of four new characters coming to the game’s playable launch roster. Legacy fighter Dee Jay, as well as newcomers JP, Marisa, and Manon were all met with praise from the community, with each of the new fighters becoming quick favorites for a lot of folks.

Manon, the Judo/ballet fighter who also happens to be a super model, is definitely one of the standouts of the brand new characters in Street Fighter 6, and she is so well-liked in fact that she has already inspired her first cosplay. Top notch fighting game community cosplayer Kitty Kaboom quickly put together a cosplay for SF6’s Manon with only the items she had in her closet, and even with limited materials has already knocked it out of the park. This cosplay even got the attention of Street Fighter 6’s director, Takayuki Nakayama.

In the latest Street Fighter 6 trailer, Capcom showed two different outfits for newcomer Manon. When we first see her, she is decked out in her super model gear and performing ballet. Four of her back up dancers travel across the screen in front of her, and when she appears again she can be seen in her default costume — which looks more like wrestling and Judo attire.

Kitty’s cosplay takes after the super model version, which sports big, thick sunglasses, a leather top and pants, and a jacket with large feathers on the collar. She also wears a gold medal around her neck, and rocks her stylish white hairdo with this ensemble.

This cosplay looks really close to what we see in-game for Manon, and the fact that Kitty was able to construct it with just things she had lying around at home is all the more impressive. We cannot wait to see what this beautiful Manon cosplay evolves into when Kitty gets more materials specifically for the look.

After sharing a couple of photos of her Street Fighter 6 Manon cosplay on Twitter, it was met with numerous compliments from followers and fans. Among those who said nice things about Kaboom’s cosplay was none other than SF6 director Nakayama himself, who thanks to Google Translate, we know said something along the lines of “nice Manon.”

Manon, Marisa, JP, Dee Jay, Ryu, Chun-Li, and the rest of the 18-character launch roster will be playable when the game drops on June 2, 2023. Street Fighter 6 will release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
