Florida State added a huge piece to their transfer portal class on Monday when Western Michigan four-star defensive lineman transferred Brad Fiske chose the Seminoles over other finalists USC and Notre Dame.
Fiske checks in as the nation’s No. 14 overall player and No. 1 defensive lineman within the 247Sports Transfer Portal Rankings. He holds a ’93’ overall grade within those rankings.
After this massive addition for the ‘Noles, FSU — previously in the No. 2 spot — jumped Michigan to move into the No. 1 position of the 247Sports Transfer Portal Team Rankings.
The Seminoles hold commitments from seven transfers including UTEP four-star offensive lineman Jeremiah ByersShorter four-star tight end Kyle MorlockSouth Carolina four-star tight end Jaheim BellAuburn three-star offensive lineman Keiondre JonesMiami four-star defensive tackle Darrell Jackson and Colorado three-star offensive lineman Casey Roddick.
The average player grade within FSU’s transfer class thus far sits at a 90.86 — which equates to a low four-star recruit.
Mike Norvell and his coaching staff are still communicating with several players in the NCAA Transfer Portal — so their haul likely isn’t done. Virginia four-star defensive back transfer Fentrell Cypress is a massive target for Norvell and his staff. Cypress was on campus for an official visit about a week ago.
South Carolina edge Gilbert EdmondFlorida offensive lineman Michael Tarquin and Syracuse safety Yes’Had Carter are additional players currently in the portal that FSU has at least communicated with.
