Author Boresz Engelking to sign latest Lake County history book at Debonné Vineyards

MADISON, Ohio – Local author Jennifer Boresz Engelking has a signing for her second book, “Lost Lake County, Ohio” coming up at Debonné Vineyards.

Boresz will be at the winery 7 to 9 pm Wednesday, Aug. 24. It’s part of the winery’s Woof Wednesdays series.

“Lost Lake County, Ohio” is due Monday, Aug. 22. She also will sell her first book, “Hidden History of Lake County, Ohio,” at the winery on Aug. 24. Boresz Engelking is an award-winning and regional Emmy-nominated writer who has worked in broadcasting, film and print.

Her newest book, “Lost Lake County, Ohio” (Arcadia Publishing, $23.99, 208 pages) explores lost

structures and forgotten industries, from drive-in theaters to beloved drugstore soda fountains, bakeries and more.

“Hidden History of Lake County, Ohio” tells the stories behind many of the county’s interesting people and places.

The “Woof Wednesdays” series runs from June to August, with assorted animal charities serving as beneficiaries. Leashed dogs are allowed at the winery after 5 pm for an evening of live music and wine. The winery is donating 50 cents from every glass of wine or beer, $1 from every bottle sipped at the winery and 10% of food sales to the featured shelter/rescue.

Boresz Engelking is donating a portion of book sales in August to donate sports equipment to Willowick baseball.
